After chemical exposure, communities are often left with questions—but no answers. People get sick at different times, symptoms don’t always connect, and too often those experiences are dismissed or ignored.
CICC exists so communities don’t have to face that alone.
By joining CICC, your community becomes part of a national effort to document real health impacts, identify patterns, and preserve experiences before they’re lost. Individual stories become collective evidence—data that can’t be brushed aside.
CICC also connects communities to trusted research, resources, and others who’ve already walked this path, helping you move faster and stronger.
Most of all, CICC is about power—power through shared knowledge, organized voices, and communities standing together to take control of their story.
Two Types of Membership
We understand that everyone’s capacity looks different—especially after chemical exposure.
An Active Member chooses to participate when they’re able, helping with actions, outreach, meetings, or sharing information to move the work forward.
A Community Member is part of CICC but engages only when it’s feasible. This may mean staying informed, contributing information, or stepping in occasionally when energy, health, or time allows.
Both roles matter. Being involved in any way—at any level—helps strengthen the collective voice of impacted communities.
